Seems to me that these three enable you to be Anti-IWAY without being too specialized and loosing out to other builds. Although all teams that are observed are top notch, so player skill is definately something that is most important to being Anti-IWAY

I don't think that you read this topic well.. It is about the tactics of beating IWAY.. When you change your build to IWAY you will be beated by others, and that's the problem of beating IWAY in GvG

I'm not asking this to be nasty, but just out of pure curiosity, what decent guilds have Math beaten?

Beating IWAY always has been and always will be simple.
Some methods:- For Spike Builds: Spike spirits, warriors, then monks
- For Split Squad: Outmaneuver them and keep them from staying in a place with spirits for very long. Gank 'em when you can.
- For Pressure Builds: Hold them back, head around and gank
- For All other Builds: A curses necro is your friend
IWAY always has and always will be a low-skill build that is easy to play. That doesn't necessarily mean that MATH is a bunch of idiot n00bs... they play a simple build very well. But then again it's always easy to beat if you know what you're doing. Anyone who actually kills the pets first does deserve to loose...

It's interesting to see that when I refer to IWAY you snobishly assume that I am talking about you.

@Domlord ---if someone heals than it is the Nec/monk.... and noone else....
and to kill spirits first...hmmm...what should i say...i think its a waste of time...with iway u make enough damage....when u think about the spirits...maybe it is a tactic to split the enemys team...
think about that

I distinctly remember flawlessing your asses with a split squad that made you run arround while we ganked you. The spirits are easy to pick off for a spiker, and they take enough of a punch out of IWAY to make it worth the few seconds it takes to dispose of them.
Also, it would be quite nice of you to read my previous post where I clarify what I meant by "monk".

Many people refer to characters that primarily heal as monks. Even though N/Mo's are technically necros, It's easy to assume for heal party spamming, N/Mo is better than Mo/N and E/Mo, in situations where you constantly have pets and spirits dieing to fuel up soul reaping, not to mention if you have a similar partner to exchange blood rituals with.

Just a few days agao, I saw XoO beat in GvG by a top 10 team (forgot who) of all Pre-made Paladins (except one, who was carrying Martyr and "To the Limit!").
Tell me that isn't skill...

Considering the XoO main divisions runs 'grab 8 and go' GvG with players fresh out of PvE, I wouldn't say beating them was any measure of skill for a top ten guild running anything. Beating the XoO ladder division, yes.

Has anyone considered ganking the Guild Lord a strategy when facing IWAY teams?
There is minimal healing (2 N/Mo the way [MATH] does it), so it seems to me that IWAY will have trouble defending their Guild Lord in such an event.
I remember some time back i was watcing a GvG of Team Union vs pRp, and all that Uni did was stall at the flag stand. They split up, put 2 warriors and a monk within ganking range, and the rest of the team by the flag. pRp was ranger spike, and although they got up to 10% morale, they couldnt fight their way into Uni's base without the ganking team running in and threatening their GL. The result was that Uni waited until Victory or Death, then they bodyblocked the monks and ganked the Guild Lord easily.
Wouldnt a comporable strategy work vs IWAY? for example, send out ~3 players with the capabilities to knock out the Guild Lord, then just use hide near the NPCs until you can gank. Especially vs IWAY, im sure you could use the Pin Down to great effect, and then just gank faster than the IWAY should they run in?
I havent actually faced a decent IWAY in GvG, so i dont really know.

We do seem to have developed a habit of screwing arround too much during the offseason. Try us again when we're actually playing to win and I think you'll find it's a bit different.
